I need to know how to be able disable it and be able to turn it back on in order to install new software.
I have [b:6f0c784230]AVG Free [/b:6f0c784230]version 7.1.371 at bottom task bar clicking on AVG icon does not give an option to shut down or turn off the [b:6f0c784230]AVG Free [/b:6f0c784230]software so I can install other software. It only gives obtion to Quit AVG Control Center which brings up box that says if you continue you will no longer be able to control other AVG components.
Also, I have just switched my internet provider and email server from 1st.net dail-up to Alltel DSL and the AVG will not let my new email work. Alltel tech support informed me to disable AVG before installing their CD. There was no option to disable the AVG so installed it anyhow but now it will not let my email work.
I again contacted Alltel and tech informed me that the email will not work until the AVG Free will let it thru. Thank you
