[b:7c415b5f23]How to avoid slow downloads[/b:7c415b5f23]
I have Win98SE and after installing Download Accelerator I could not get my PC to boot up with Windows. There was an error message relating to Explorer when I clicked close all I got was a black screen with a flashing curser in the top left hand corner of the screen. Before closing the error message, the lower toolbar was visible but on clicking any program or Explorer from the start menu it would not load.
[b:7c415b5f23] Boot the computer into Safe Mode. [/b:7c415b5f23]To do this, restart the computer and then continually tap the F8 key as the computer’s booting back up again.
Once you’re in Safe Mode, save a copy of the install log, which is located in C:Program FilesTD Download AcceleratorINSTALL.LOG.
Uninstall Download Accelerator if you can’t boot the computer into normal mode and then submit the log to the developers at www.spycleaner-gold.com/resources/feedback.php. so they can determine what went wrong.

I was able to find the file you mentioned, however... I can’t get into the control panel to remove the program because as soon as it boots up in safe mode the error message for Explorer comes up to say "this program has performed an illegal operation". Also I can’t open "My Computer" to access Control Panel nor through the Start Menu either.
It just stops loading as soon as the Explorer Error message comes up
In that case you may want to try running a System File Check while you’re in Safe Mode as it sounds like Windows has some corrupted or missing system files.
To run a System File Check, insert the Windows CD and click START >> RUN, then type SFC and click OK.
