Poor Quality of Service

I have subscribed to Packet8. But their Quality of Services is not up to the mark. Please tell me what to do?

There are many reasons for poor Quality of Services the one being the router. I have tried that placing the Packet8 unit in front of the router or say plug a switch or a hub into the cable modem and then plug the Packet8 unit into the hub and plug the router in as well.

I believe there are a very few good routers that perform this task quite well. They can solve the problem of Poor Quality of Service.
