I have been facing Loud Noice, dropped calls, choppy audio in Vonage System. Any ideas on how to improve the background noise?

I have cable modem with wireless router and RT31P2 adaptor.

As you said you have wireless router. I think it is a 2.4 GHz wireless router. It may cause problems. You can try to remove your router temporarily for some time and run the RTP300 directly. It may solve the problems.
