I would like to have a Fax services in Asterisk. Please let me know how can I startup Fax services?

There are two options, either you can use g.711 codec and second one is T.38. G.711 will create some difficulty and wastage of resources while T.38 is the best solution to start fax services in Asterisk.

T.38 is the best and standard option to transmit fax over IP in real time and is best if supported by your VoIP providers.

You can also try with new version like Asterfax and Spandsp from asterisk.
