There are some factors limiting the growth of wireless VoIP. Such factors are the 802.11 standard, which pose some challenges for enterprise class VoIP. The second one is Quality of Service (QoS) because in wireless network it is lacking. The third one is implementing and maintaining of Wireless VoIP is very expensive. I think there is not much disadvantages I have seen rather using conventional VoIP.
