I think you only use 7960G (SIP mode) instead of Cisco 7940 IP Phone. Speakerphone quality of the Cisco 7940 IP Phone is very good and clear.

It also provides visual indicators of DND status. It means you must know the DND connection status.

The Cisco IP Phone 7940 identifies incoming messages and categorizes them for users on the screen. This allows users to quickly and effectively return calls using direct dial-back capability.
