I believe that Asterisk voicemail is one of the negative sides of Asterisk. It's a huge application with a lot of un-configurable built-in menus and functions.
It needs to be developed on UNIX platforms. I don’t understand why Asterisk has not come up with new voice mail system in spite of its complicated large application. We are waiting for a major change in Voicemail.
