I think cat is highly receptive animal so you need to give completely safety to your cat and kitten (if you have). Cathouse should be warm and it needs to be building with wood or plywood so that in any season it maintains the proper condition.

Cat also needs proper waterproofing and ventilation too. You should also make cathouse in such a way that cat should get direct sunlight. You should not put any lynching stuff because the cat has a habit to catch the hanging objects.

It is not advisable to use the electric cord in the cat home. You must have to consider the safety of the cat home first. It is essential to consider all the things in mind to get an ideal and safe cathouse.
