I wanted to buy a parenting video to help me improve. I was also thinking about buying some parenting books. Any advise on parenting books?

You may want to check out Parenting Magazine and I'd recommend "The Attachment Parenting Book : A Commonsense Guide to Understanding and Nurturing Your Baby" Excellent advice in both.
