An Alkyd-base coating is also one of the most suitable coatings applied on the roofs. It is applicable on the metal as well as masonry roof, which provides proper drainage. The alkyd-based coating is protecting the roofs in bad weather condition. The alkyd based coatings working same as the aluminum coatings. In the hot weather condition they are not spread if you applied over the moist surface.

The alkyd base coating is more applicable in the metal roofs. It is more durable and can give better performance in the hot weather too. The cost of the alkyd base coating is more than the other types of coatings. It is necessary to apply the alkyd base coatings with proper care so that the durability can last long.

I have applied alkyd coatings on my metal roofs. Certainly it is good and more durable as compare to the other coatings. You must have to apply the alkyd coating that give proper finish too.
