Ideally the women need more mineral because they lose during the menstruation period. On an average nearly 20 of iron loss during the menstruation period. The majority of the women face iron deficiency problem or it called as anemia. It has several effects like fatigue and headaches, pallor. The iron rich foods like meat, fish and poultry it is known as heme iron while dietary iron from plant sources, called non-heme iron, found in beans, spinach and peas and other green leafy vegetables, potatoes, and whole-grain and iron-fortified cereal. You have more deficiency of iron in that case better you can consult the physician. I think you need to take iron supplements as alternative to foods.

It is necessary to defined the intake of iron is depends on the age, gender and body size. The pregnant women need more of iron than the other age person.. Nutrition value is also differing for men and women, the man require more nutrition than the women but in certain case women must need calcium and iron adequately. Pregnant women must take certain doses of iron to boost the hemoglobin.
