There are several reason for which causes arthritis, based on the certain factors that are associated with a greater risk of arthritis, it is classified into two parts, one is non-modifiable and another is modifiable.

The non-modifiable risk are derived on the bases of age, gender and genetic reasons. The non-modifiable risk of arthritis is associated with increases with age, it is more common in women and nearly 60 percent of the women are suffering while in man gout is common. The genetic factors play an important role for development for certain types of arthritis.

The modifiable risk is connected with the obesity, infection, joint injuries and types of occupation. The person with obesity or excess weight can contribute to both the onset and progression of knee osteoarthritis. In case you have any injury can contribute to the development of osteoarthritis in that joint. Some time infections can infect joints and potentially cause the development of various forms of arthritis. Certain occupations involving cyclic knee bending and cowed are associated with arthritis of the knee.
