The disadvantages of the injections of the cortisone has the short and in the long term side effects on the body. The short term side effects are not frequent, but they include the atrophy and the lightening of the color of the skin in the site of the injection, the introduction of the bacterial infection in the body, of the drain of the blood vessels broken in the skin or the muscle, of the pain in the site of the injection, and the irritation of the inflammation in the area like hand and legs etc to injected due to reactions to the medication of the corticosteroid. The inflammation on the hand and the legs are getting weak after taking the corticosteroid injection.
