The calcium is one of the important nutrition women ever need it. During the pregnancy and after the pregnancy period women need more calcium intake rather than man.. The low calcium intake resulting into a development of osteoporosis, a disease in which bone density decreases and leads to weak bones. Women have a greater risk than men of developing osteoporosis. It is essential to take the calcium from milk products, fresh fruits and vegetables.

According to one FDA guidelines, the women at the age group of [b]30 to 35 [/b]need more calcium. It is most important time to get a sufficient amount of calcium for the growth of the bone and consolidation are occurring.

The recommended dietary allowance (RDA) for calcium for woman 19 to 24 is 1,200 milligrams per day. Women at the age group of 25 and older, the allowance drops to 800 milligrams.
