The benefit from eating a healthy and balanced diet includes a variety of foods; plenty of vegetables, fruits and whole-grain products; and sugar, salt and fat(saturated) in moderation along with daily amounts of vitamins and minerals is an important part of a healthful diet. Starchy foods like bread, potatoes, rice, and pasta. They have no more calories than protein. Whole-meal versions of these starchy foods are better and high in fibre, and often supply more vitamins and minerals.

Current research shows that oily fish is more beneficial to inflammatory type of arthritis such as rheumatoid arthritis, reactive arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, or ankylosing spondylitis. The strongest evidence that it can help arthritis relates to inflammatory arthritis.
