Can I breakup diet in a day to consume balance diet as suggested by American Dietary Guide?

It not necessary to consume all diet in a one serve. If you take it nutrient-wise, you may have break the diet in two or three serving with different diet pattern, eventually it is the overall diet consumed in a day, which matters.

If you wish you can prepare your schedule in such a way that you can get food from all groups in next two to three serving per day. If you consider the healthy people, as long as you can achieve the recommended number of servings for each food group in your daily diet, you can get all the necessary nutrients you need.

The food groups in one meal may help increase absorption of certain nutrients. Vitamin C from fruits and vegetables helps to absorb form of iron available in green leafy vegetables.
