The diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis is based on a combination of factors including specific location and symmetry of painful joints, the presence of joint stiffness in the morning, presence of bump and nodules under the skin. The X-ray tests can diagnoses the rheumatoid arthritis and the positive blood test result identify the rheumatoid arthritis.

Normally people with RA have been suffering from mild anemia. Blood tests may also reveal an elevated erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR),.A few people with RA may also have a positive antinuclear antibody test (ANA). This test is positive in people with lupus.
