Mediterranean also consume wine, which has certain cholesterol reducing effects, is a staple of the Mediterranean diet, and regions like Italy and southern France have historically produced more wine than England and northern Germany. Mediterranean also eat cheeses made from sheep's milk which is lower in cholesterol than those made from cow's milk, while olive oil, with its monounsaturated fat, is healthier than cholesterol-laden butter.

It means Mediterranean peoples eat food which are healthy for the heart it is also great beneficial to lower the cholesterol level. Today Mediterranean foods are also very much famous in America looking to the health benefits. People consume wine in America is very common.
