My teenaged daughter is going to college this year. I am a bit embarrassed and yet worried about whether she is aware of Aids and other problems caused by casual sex.

It is important to educate the children about dangers. You can either swallow your embarrassment and have a mother –daughter talk or ask a favorite aunt to invite her to a treat and bring up the topic in casual conversation. There are umpteen sites devoted to these issues—send your daughter a few URLs.
