Milk is essential source of calcium for kid, man and women. Milk contains calcium and essential nutrition to keep the bones healthy. Apart from milk, some milk products like cheese, yogurt and chocolates are important supplement to get the calcium. The milk, yogurt and cheese are rich in calcium and various nutrition. The chocolate milk contains calcium, riboflavin, phosphorous and vitamin D and proteins. Protein is required to build and repair muscle, cartilage, bone, hair, skin and blood. Milk and milk products supply us with around 20 percent of the total protein available from all our foods. It is better to give flavored milk to the children rather than plain milk. The flavored milk contains various nine nutrition calcium, protein, vitamin D, vitamin A, vitamin B12, potassium, phosphorus, riboflavin and niacin.

The US government also suggests that children in the age group of four to eight need 800 milligrams of calcium a day, or the equivalent of about three glasses of milk, while children aged nine to 18 need 1,300 milligrams of calcium. Adults need more than 2500 mg of calcium per day.
