The pregnant women needs good amount of nutrition during the pregnancy. It is important element need in the body. The raw fruits and vegetables contains good amount of vitamins and minerals. So eating more fruits and vegetables are recommended because it has no adverse effect for most healthy individuals.

The Fruit and vegetables do not contain all types of nutrients, so it is important to eat a variety of food using the Healthy Diet Pyramid as a guide for the pregnant women.

As per WHO pregnant women should eat good amount of green leafy vegetables. Folic Acid pills may be taken as nutrient insurance, as can Vitamin B12 supplements. This is particularly important if you are following a 100 percent vegan diet.
