Dietary fiber is a combination of plant materials that are defiant to breakdown by the human digestive system. There are mainly two types of dietary fiber one is soluble and another is insoluble. Insoluble fiber is found in whole-grain products like whole-wheat bread while soluble fibers found in fruits, vegetables, dry beans and peas etc.
Insoluble fiber promotes normal removal by providing bulk for stool pattern and thus speeding up the passage of the stool through the colon. The soluble fibers may play a role in reducing the level of cholesterol in the blood. It is mostly found in Raw Foods.
