The reactive oxygen species (ROS) are called the free radicals and damaged oxygen molecules that are available in the body cells as a result the it damage the cellular membranes and change the genetic resources. The free radicals are developed through sun radiation, presence of toxins and many environmental pollutants in the body. The presence of the free radicals and damaged oxygen molecules are main cause of atherosclerosis, arthritis, cancer, diabetes and many other types of diseases. It is essential to eat the fruits and vegetables to enhance the oxidation in the body to reduce the risk of the many diseases like atherosclerosis, arthritis, cancer, diabetes. Consumption of fruits and vegetables contains the phytonutrients such as flavonoids as well as carotenoids that are important for our body.
