I have a theory that my version of windows XP is missing an update for Bluetooth devices or just USB devices in general. I just bought a Spirit [b:e60600f393]Bluetooth[/b:e60600f393] USB adapter SCP3000, and although the device does appear to be working, windows xp merely communicates via the system tray that it is an unknown device, even after installing the company cd and software. I also have a Belk in MMC reader and it does the same thing when put into the USB port. I am puzzled because I have the company cd for the Bluetooth device which has software and drivers, but can not be found when I tell XP to search for drivers. These devices are supposedly 'plug and play', yet do not 'play' when I 'plug'! I have ruled out the possibility of faulty devices because the two devices are detected, just not identified. Please reply because any kind of help you can give me would be great, for I am in quite a frustrated state.
